  8. FPSF is a great game!  However for me there was 1 thing missing: the ability to
  9. modify player names and attributes.  This program will allow you to edit any
  10. player attribute, as well as team information (I know you can change the team 
  11. stuff from within the game but I quickly realized that this feature should be
  12. added to the editor to expidite the creation of a custom league).  That is new 
  13. feature number 1.  New feature number 2 is better!  You now have the ability 
  14. to edit a player's potential ratings as well as their actual ratings.  This was
  15. something I considered before but I was too lazy to put it in.  But tonight I
  16. was inspired and I added these new features.  I hope this program will be as 
  17. useful to you as it is to me.  Using the program is extremely easy.  The 
  18. interface is intuitive and windows-like (NO it's not a Windows program!).  I
  19. just wanted it to be as easy to use as possible.  If you have any comments or
  20. if you find a BUG Please call me.  This was going to be the version you got if
  21. you sent in the hefty $5 registration fee but I guess that'll be version 3.
  22. Any Ideas ?  I'm thinking about putting together a program that makes use
  23. of all the little utilities that I have written to get around flaws in the game.
  24. ie. Being able to change the league type to career, and a utility that will 
  25. allow one to copy plays between teams (I still don't understand why you HAVE to
  26. make your plays in exhibtion mode if you want to copy them around!)  Anyway I 
  27. have written a few of these things and If they would be useful to you give
  28. me a ring.  Any Ideas for this little project are welcome.

  33. 1.- GLOBAL UPDATE FACILITY!!- You now have the ability to automatically improve
  34. or degrade player ratings.  All you do is specify the criteria and all players
  35. that fit will be updated.  For example say you wanted to give every DB in the
  36. league +5 HAnds b/c it's to easy to pass and there aren't enough ints.  No 
  37. problem!  The program will do it. You can upgrade/downgrad based on position,
  38. attribute team or entire league.  Even auto upgrade potential stats!  Just 
  39. click on your prefs and it's done.  Also you can set MAX and MIN values so
  40. players who are already highly rated won't be increased past a certain point
  41. that you specify.  For example say you want to -5 off all LB's ACcelleraion
  42. rating but you don't want your adjustment to lower someone's rating to less 
  43. than 45.  This should be a good tool for those of you who are striving to 
  44. get the most realism posssible.  Tweak away!

  46. 2. SCOUTING REPORTS - The new scouting report option will let you look at 
  47. any teams player ratings broken down by position.  The program will display
  48. the average ratings, min ratings, and max ratings for any position specified.
  49. Just click the button that corresponds to the position to see a full report.
  50. Team totals by rating are shown also.  This should be useful as a scouting
  51. tool before you play another team!

  57. - Bug fix!  If you entered a long (25 chars or more) name for the coach 
  58. and your team had a password then the password was being corrupted.
